From Blanca's Mom:
Today was one of the most wonderful and proudest moments in my life. I saw my daughter, who used to stand in front of me and her father at the age of 8 crying, saying that she was dumb and couldn't learn because that is what an elementary school teacher told her. In fact, we learned she had dyslexia. As parents, we decided to put her in Catholic school. Our daughter soared with the help of the greatest teachers at Saint John the Apostle Catholic School and Nolan Catholic High School. She went forward and soared even higher. She graduated from Jarvis Christian University with a bachelor's degree in science kinesiology with distinguished honors with a 3.7grade point average. She didn't do this in 4 years No...No... She did it in 3 years. That in itself is amazing. Today, my daughter was a confident, smart, young woman who now knows that she can accomplish anything the world puts in front of her. And now I know she is no longer that little girl who cried because some ignorant teacher told her that she was dumb, and couldn't learn. Continue to soar. The sky’s the limit, Blanca Aguilera.

Did you know our school offers hands-on outdoor learning?
Our school started several years ago a gardening program that involves all grades, from Pre-K through 8th grade. The students take turns to maintain our gardens. This program opened up the need for a compost pile, rain barrel, and green house. The success of the program and the excitement of the students prompt us to grow our outdoor learning curriculum. We now count with a worm farm, live chickens, a bat box, an owl box with a camera that the 3rd graders watch, and soon to come woodpecker box.
This year, we have joined the Texas 4-H group.
Nolan Catholic High School is partnering with St. John the Apostle Catholic School and others in Tarrant County to offer a new, hands-on opportunity to learn about agriculture, science, art, and health through a century-old organization: 4-H. (NTC/Rodger Mallison).
